Reporting to the BIM Lead – Siemens Rail Infrastructure UK, the ProjectWise Lead is accountable for the management, operation and ongoing development of Siemens’ ProjectWise environments across UK Rail Infrastructure portfolios, including Signalling, Control Systems, CIS, Electrification, MHSO and major programmes such as HS2. This role acts as the application owner and primary UK point of contact for Bentley ProjectWise.

You’ll make a difference by…

  • Owning ProjectWise administration activities including, but not limited to, creating new projects, any requested modifications to datasources including environments, workflows and access control, adding users and user lists.
  • Managing any migration projects required now and, in the future.
  • Managing and delivering any enhancement or further deployment projects to improve existing and future deployments.
  • Testing of any major or minor software upgrades and implementation of upgrades where deemed suitable.
  • Being the contact and coordinator with the software vendor for Bentley ProjectWise and associated products.
  • Developing and maintaining procedures, processes, user guidance and training material to support the business and Users.
  • Developing and training of identified PowerUsers and SuperUsers across the business.
  • Participating in and initiating BIM technical discussions to develop solutions with BIM team both internally, externally and internationally.

You will make an impact by…

  • Applying your chartered or equivalent professional expertise to lead and assure the delivery of ProjectWise and BIM‑related activities across complex rail environments.
  • Embedding and promoting current BIM standards and best practice, including ISO 19650, Government Soft Landings and PAS 1192, across projects and portfolios.
  • Successfully delivering ProjectWise environment and datasource implementations, supporting business adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Providing deep technical leadership across Bentley ProjectWise (Admin and Explorer), Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, MicroStation and PowerShell‑based solutions.
  • Bringing substantial rail engineering experience from large UK programmes, with the ability to contribute insight from international or metro project delivery where applicable.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and commercial acumen by influencing stakeholders, supporting company objectives and effectively forecasting and managing resources and costs.
  • Leveraging a broad, end‑to‑end understanding of the engineering lifecycle to facilitate cross‑disciplinary collaboration in complex, innovative and commercially challenging environments.
