Senior leader responsible for shaping manufacturing, engineering and logistics across Siemens Mobility’s Signalling, Electrification and On-Board Communications portfolio. You will drive the future manufacturing operating model, push digitalisation and AI-enabled performance, and ensure safe, high-quality, on-time delivery at scale. You’ll set the smart manufacturing vision and lead cross-functional collaboration to improve cost, productivity and competitiveness. This is a strategic role with significant impact on UK and overseas markets.

Responsibilities
- Provide health, safety and wellbeing leadership and embed a proactive safety culture
- Act as executive sponsor for digital manufacturing and industrial AI, driving scalable transformation programmes
- Define a smart manufacturing roadmap connecting people, processes, data and technology
- Collaborate across R&D, Manufacturing, Project Delivery and Maintenance to ensure safe, secure and commercially focused solutions
- Ensure safe, efficient delivery of products with on-time, in-full performance
- Maintain high standards of quality, reliability and governance with continuous improvement
- Drive cost competitiveness and productivity through data-led decision-making
- Lead long-term manufacturing strategy, operating model and transformation agenda
- Oversee financial and operational performance, budget control and resource optimisation
- Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to wider Rail Infrastructure priorities
- Translate operational plans into safe, profitable, timely delivery
Key requirements
- Substantial senior leadership experience across manufacturing, engineering and logistics
- Accountability for P&L and operational performance
- Experience in transformation leadership and deployment of digital or smart manufacturing strategies
- Outstanding strategic leadership, commercial judgement and financial acumen
- Strong stakeholder influence and safety leadership
- Knowledge of digitalisation, data analytics, AI-enabled operations and emerging technologies in complex manufacturing environments
