About The Job
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President / General Manager to lead our Software Business in the UK/EMEA region. This pivotal role is responsible for driving significant business growth, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team. The successful candidate will be the face of Siemens' software business in the region, acting as a strong advocate for our local customers while strategically aligning with global objectives and collaborating across various Siemens entities. You will be a member of the Global Executive Leadership team working alongside peers supporting the global deliverables of Brightly. This position reports into the Global CEO and manages 5 direct reports; Head of Sales, Head of Marketing, Head of Professional Services & Support, Head of Solutions & Client Success and Quality Manager.
- Business Results & Growth (40%) Develop, implement, and adapt a regional business strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets for Siemens' software portfolio, while monitoring industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Drive sustainable growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding market penetration, overseeing regional P&L, and delivering operational excellence. Represent UK/EMEA at Executive Staff meetings, contributing to planning, reporting, advocacy, and direction.
- Local Customer Representation & Advocacy (25%) Serve as the regional point of contact and trusted advisor to key customers and partners, tailoring solutions to local market needs and building strong relationships. Lead initiatives such as Brightly UK events, webinars, newsletters, and LinkedIn promotions to ensure customer engagement and representation. Champion customer feedback internally to influence product development and advocate for service enhancements.
- Team Leadership & Development (20%) Inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive culture of growth, innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Recruit, mentor, and cultivate talent, encouraging career development, mentoring, succession planning, and internal mobility. Promote regular performance reviews, growth talks, skip-level meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Cross-Siemens Collaboration & Alignment (10%) Collaborate with Siemens units globally to capitalise on cross-selling opportunities, integrated solutions, and aligned strategies, particularly within Mobility, Water, and Higher Education sectors. Strengthen relationships with Siemens senior leadership in the UK and globally, representing the regional software business in strategy meetings while leveraging Siemens' resources for business growth.
- Compliance (5%) Oversee compliance with regional laws, company policies, and certifications such as ISO standards, Cyber Essentials, and contracts. Act as Director on Companies House with signatory responsibilities for agreements and employee relations management. Represent organisational changes and lead efforts in workforce planning accountability.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Dynamic leadership experience in the software industry, with a proven track record of leading P&L and driving business growth in regional or general management roles.
- Demonstrated ability to understand local market dynamics, customer needs, and foster collaboration across complex organisational structures.
- Strong critical thinking, business insight, analytical capability, and communication skills, including negotiation and presentations at all levels.
- Exceptional team leadership and development skills, with a proven ability to build high-performing teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region and internationally.
