Overview
Join Siemens Electrification & Automation (EA) as a key player supporting UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) in modernising, reinforcing, and decarbonising distribution networks across Scotland and Northern England. This is a site‑independent role with regular travel across the North of the UK.
Responsibilities
- Develop Siemens’ DNO‑focused distribution business, working closely with DNO asset managers, project teams and framework delivery partners.
- Promote our end‑to‑end portfolio—including SF free switchgear, protection relays, digital substations, automation and lifecycle services—aligned to DNO standards and investment plans.
- Act as a trusted commercial and technical interface to UK DNOs, becoming a recognised go‑to contact for Siemens’ portfolio.
- Develop and manage the DNO opportunity pipeline, targeting asset replacement programmes, load‑related reinforcement, net‑zero and electrification initiatives, and substation modernisation and digitalisation.
- Build and nurture relationships with DNO framework partners, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), engineering, procurement contractors (ECPs) and senior DNO personnel.
- Coordinate internal Siemens teams—engineering, bid management, service and management—to support timely, compliant and competitive proposals.
- Support the execution of Siemens’ DNO sales strategy using market and regulatory intelligence (e.g., RIIO ED investment drivers).
- Maintain high standards of Salesforce CRM discipline, ensuring accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking and customer data integrity.
- Demonstrate a clear sense of ownership and accountability for customer outcomes and long‑term partnerships.
- Maintain a growth mindset and the ability to develop within a technically and commercially complex DNO environment.
