Join our team as a Fire Design Engineer and play a key role in creating safe, innovative environments. You'll design and deliver fire protection systems that make a real difference covering Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, PA/VA Systems, Aspirating Systems, and Disabled Refuge Systems. This is a hybrid role which will include 1-2 days a week in the office and visits to customer sites. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with diverse teams, develop your technical expertise, and contribute to projects that protect lives and property. From concept design to handover, you'll ensure compliance with industry standards while bringing creativity and precision to every project.
What You'll Do
- Design fire systems from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) to support pricing and scheduling.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage approvals and clarify scope documents.
- Incorporate client-specific procedures into all designs.
- Handle Technical Queries (TQ) and Requests for Information (RFI) promptly.
- Prepare system documentation and ensure O&M manuals are complete for project handover.
Software Skills
- Adobe Pro / Bluebeam

- Navisworks / Revit
Technical Knowledge
- Previous design experience with fire-related systems
- Ability to document and present detailed design specifications
- Familiarity with standards: BS 5839, BS 6266, BS 7671, BS 7273
- FIA Design Courses or equivalent
Desirable Skills
- Experience in large-scale fire system projects
- Familiarity with BIM processes and 3D modeling tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
