Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Sustainability Officer and you will lead and support the development and execution of Siemens Healthineers\’ sustainability agenda in Great Britain and Ireland. The role will ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, drive internal initiatives toward net zero, and represent Healthineers in key forums. This position is critical to aligning regional activities with global strategy and delivering measurable environmental and social impact.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Development & Planning –
- Develop the GB&I Sustainability Strategy in alignment with global targets and local stakeholder needs.
- Support the design and rollout of carbon reduction initiatives and commercial sustainability propositions.
- Coordinate sustainability input into corporate and regional planning processes.
Carbon & ESG Reporting –
- Produce and maintain Carbon Reduction Plans (CRPs), including Scope 3 emissions reporting.
- Lead the annual update of EcoVadis and Evergreen ESG assessments.
- Produce Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) for annual accounts.
- Support the Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) process.
- Coordinate Energy Audit and Savings Plans for ESOS, reporting to the Environment Agency.
Commercial & Tender Support –
- Provide sustainability and Net Zero input into customer tenders and procurement processes.
- Respond to customer Net Zero and ESG questionnaires with accurate, timely, and aligned information.
- Liaise with commercial teams to strengthen Healthineers’ sustainability positioning.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation –
- Serve as the key point of contact for customers on sustainability topics.
- Represent Siemens Healthineers GB&I in external forums (e.g. Axrem, BIVDA, NHS forums).
- Participate in internal working groups and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in sustainability or environmental compliance, ideally within the healthcare or technology sector.
- Proven experience producing CRPs and handling ESG frameworks (e.g. EcoVadis, SECR, TCFD, ESOS).
- Deep understanding of carbon accounting (Scopes 1–3), net zero pathways, and UK/Ireland regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with NHS sustainability and procurement frameworks.
- Insight into global sustainability standards and disclosure frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret carbon data and performance indicators.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Project management and multitasking ability in a matrix organisation.
- Confident presenting to customers, regulators, and leadership teams.
