Our Rolling Stock and Customer Service keeps trains running safely and reliably every day. The business delivers expert maintenance, technical support and digital solutions across the full lifecycle of rail fleets, helping customers maximise performance, availability and passenger satisfaction.

We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join us at Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Customer Services in our Hornsey depot. The role will be responsible for leading the delivery of critical Train Service Agreement, ensuring rolling stock maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Working closely with customers, you’ll ensure their requirements are fully understood and embedded into operations, driving performance and long‑term value.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Planning and managing all resources (people, materials, tools, and third‑party services) to deliver the production plan, minimise downtime, and ensure maintenance is completed in line with operational targets.
  • Leading fleet planning and maintenance scheduling, ensuring all activities are delivered on time, safely, and in accordance with maintenance instructions, while reducing deferred work.
  • Building strong customer relationships, consistently meeting performance commitments, understanding evolving requirements, and managing escalations effectively.
  • Driving financial performance through effective day‑to‑day operational management, delivering against KPIs and budget targets while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Embedding a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with policies and actively promoting safe behaviours and continuous improvement in wellbeing.
  • Fostering a high‑performance, compliant, and continuously improving team culture, developing people, improving processes, and ensuring adherence to Siemens standards and governance.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Management or supervisory experience in a technical position.
  • Technical knowledge of Rolling Stock maintenance procedures/practices.
  • Engineering ONC or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems/software.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Must Haves:

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
  • Good understanding of Health, Safety and environment legislation/procedures.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Contract/Commercial knowledge.
