This is not a passive shadowing role. You will work on live datasets, real business problems, and executive-level outputs.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist with rolling forecast updates (ARR, revenue, bookings, margin).
  • Prepare variance analysis for monthly business reviews.
  • Support Sales Finance with deal profitability analysis.
  • Analyse discounting trends, renewal performance, and expansion metrics.
  • Assist in ensuring data quality between CRM, ERP, and reporting tools.
  • Contribute to compliance reviews aligned to IFRS15 principles (supervised).
  • Clean, reconcile, and validate financial and operational datasets.
  • Document reporting logic and process flows.
  • Map current processes and identify inefficiencies.
  • Assist in testing system enhancements and documenting requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Excel modelling skills (pivot tables, lookups, logical functions).
  • Basic financial literacy (P&L, revenue recognition concepts, cash flow).
  • Exposure to accounting, finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or similar analytical discipline.
  • Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc) is advantageous.
  • Structured, analytical thinking, high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity about how software businesses scale.

What You Will Gain

  • Exposure to SaaS metrics (ARR, ACV, churn, NRR, LTV/CAC).
  • Understanding of revenue recognition frameworks (e.g., IFRS15).
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Accounting.
  • Direct visibility to senior finance leadership.
  • Practical experience in finance transformation and systems optimisation.

Success Measures

By the end of the internship, you will have:

  • Delivered at least one independent analytical project with executive visibility.
  • Improved or automated at least one reporting process.
  • Demonstrated strong data integrity and governance discipline.
  • Built working knowledge of how a global software finance function operates.
