IT Business Partner
About Us: IT is an integral part of Siemens’ strategy as a technology company. Together with the business, IT drives internal digitalization and the development of digital products at the core of the business, leading IT/OT convergence and acting as one global team.
The Opportunity: A rare opportunity has become available to join our award-winning IT team in the UK as an IT Business Partner. You will be part of a small team of IT Business Partners who collectively support businesses and functions within Siemens Plc, reporting directly to the Head of IT. Our team is based in Poole and Manchester, so the role can be based at either site. Guided by Siemens’ forward-thinking hybrid working policy, the team spends 2-3 days a week in the office. We support many sites in the UK, so occasional domestic and international travel is required.
Our Culture: We operate in a culture where creativity and a growth mindset are actively encouraged. Continuous development is key; we are given the freedom and autonomy to push boundaries and make an impact. In this role, you will constantly be learning about our multifaceted business processes, cutting-edge technology, and even about yourself! You will be encouraged to identify areas of digital opportunity and deliver IT solutions to realize them.
Your Role:
- Partner: Develop trustful relationships with your business partners to understand their needs and anticipate their requirements.
- Innovate: Be curious! Deploy innovative technology from our global IT value centers into our UK businesses.
- Guide: Guide IT strategy and global topics into the business and provide a UK voice in shaping the direction of IT back to our headquarters.
- Manage: Manage global IT projects and initiatives to ensure success, and handle customer concerns and major incidents.
- Support: Ensure that the global IT services being used are effectively meeting the needs of the business, and look for productivity savings in IT costs.
- Delight: Measure customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and celebrate successes.
- Invest: Continuously expand your knowledge and expertise by staying up-to-date with the latest internal solutions and advancements in the technology industry.
What We Are Looking For:
- Passion: A passion for digitalization and bringing efficiency and innovation to Siemens.
- Technical Background: A solid understanding of IT (infrastructure, applications, security, architecture) is essential. You don’t need to be a specialist, but a generalist with access to a global network of subject matter experts.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve IT issues, ensuring smooth operation of systems and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent listening and communication skills at varying levels of the Siemens organization, including senior management. Ability to build trust and manage relationships with IT service suppliers.
- Comfortable with Numbers: Ability to present and articulate IT budgets and uncover areas of influence.
- Collaboration: A great teammate who easily networks and supports those around them.
Experience:
- Similar role as an IT Business Partner / Account Manager.
- Experience in an IT environment.
- Experience working with customers and managing projects.
What We Offer:
- Performance-Based Bonus: Enjoy an annual bonus linked to the company’s performance.
- Flexible Working Hours: Achieve a healthy work-life balance with our flexible working arrangements.
- Pension Plan: Secure your future with our generous pension scheme, with employer contributions up to 10%.
- Time Off: Recharge with 26 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), and the option to buy or sell an additional 5 days.
We value your unique identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equal opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society. Bring your authentic self and build a better tomorrow with us! Please let us know if you have any specific requirements to support you during the application and interview process.
