We have an opportunity to join Siemens Mobility as a Design Engineer - Signalling in our Rail Infrastructure business. The role involves carrying out design and design production checks on all aspects of Signalling systems as instructed by senior Engineers, developing through the range of standard trackside equipment to more complex conceptual design & data works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake design production/checking of the signalling detail design as per relevant standards and Signalling Design Specifications
  • Perform complex railway signal design tasks in accordance with relevant standards, industry codes, and practices
  • Interact with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide functional support and guidance to junior Design staff for all aspects of Signalling Design
  • Assist in the risk assessment of planned and completed designs

Candidate Requirements

  • Engineering Degree/HND/HNC qualification
  • IRSE Signalling Designer Licence and Verifier licence will be an advantage
  • Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Scheme Plans, LAP, Specifications, SSI Wiring, Fringe Designs
  • SSI (Westlock) data & Control tables Design experience will be desirable
  • Knowledge of WTS - Westlock trackside system technology will be an advantage
