Job Brief:

Reporting to the CRO, Siemens Grid Software is seeking a strategic and inquisitive Head of Marketing to elevate its marketing function and deliver measurable business growth. This role is pivotal in driving our company’s growth by shaping our marketing strategy and brand as we address the challenges of the energy transition building on strong customer loyalty and brands and our evolving and new suite of Gridscale X Products and services.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing a marketing strategy for SW businesses including ideally product and field marketing. The candidate will have a knowledge of how best to set up a team within a software environment, and then grow a team capable of scaling with our business.

The successful candidate will be well versed in the latest Marketing tech stack including AI. They should be capable of working with both Product and Sales teams and bringing together a holistic approach to marketing that fits in with the growth strategy and the account focus of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition in the energy and utilities sector, with a focus on energy transition and new product launches.
• Oversee key marketing functions such product marketing, field marketing, digital marketing, lead generation campaigns and events. Develop state of the art marketing tech stack.
• Work very closely with Communications on brand awareness advertising and select events.
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the marketing department.
• Set, monitor, and report on team goals.
• Analyse consumer behaviour, market trends, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for growth.
• Design branding, positioning, and pricing strategies tailored to the energy transition market.
• Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness and profitability.
• Lead and mentor the marketing team to ensure successful campaign execution. Monitor competition and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards in all marketing activities.
• Collaborate with the product development team to align marketing efforts with product roadmaps and ensure successful product launches.
• Define and evolve product messaging, positioning, and value propositions that resonate with key customer segments.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as Head of Marketing in a SW business or a similar senior role, preferably within the energy and utilities sector. Ideally the candidate has experience of SaaS transition.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Solid knowledge of Account Based Marketing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• BSc or MSc in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field.
• In-depth understanding of the energy market, including renewable energy trends and regulatory requirements.
• Passion for sustainable energy and a deep understanding of energy transition dynamics.
