Siemens Mobility have been a leader for seamless, sustainable, reliable, and secure transport solutions for more than 160 years. We are looking for a stock controller to come and join the team at our Goole Train Village. The aim of the stock controller is to track stock entering and leaving the warehouse, ensuring that stock accuracy is always at a high level. Enacting regular stocktakes and audits in order to ensure stock accuracy and minimise stock loss. Ensuring that stock levels on the system are correct to not slow down production. The role is hands on, having no direct reports, so the stock controller must organise and personally undertake stocktakes as well as ensure all warehouse staff are fully trained and aware of the importance of stock integrity. Making sure that safety is at the forefront of all activities.

You will make an impact by:

  • Report daily on stock levels and accuracy
  • Create and implement standard operating procedure (SOP) for investigating stock discrepancies
  • Liaising with procurement to ensure continuity of supply
  • Organise and undertake periodic stocktakes as per the agreed programme
  • Regular audits on fast moving goods (ABC analysis)
  • Manage the stocktaking plan

Your success is grounded by:

  • Suitable experience of working within a supply chain or warehouse environment in a similar role
  • Experience of creating and implementing a warehouse plan
  • Experience of undertaking and controlling stocktakes
  • Using SAP (or similar WMS) to ensure stock integrity
  • Experience of working with best practice for stocktaking (Creating Standard operating procedures)

Preferred:

  • MHE license
  • Training warehouse staff in the use of stocktaking equipment
