We are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) to join us at Siemens Mobility. As a member of the Project Core team, the QMiP will be responsible for establishing the defined Quality Management System, ensuring that it is tailored to project-specific requirements to ensure both process and product quality within the project. They will also be responsible for supporting and advising the project management team by planning, monitoring, ensuring, and reporting on appropriate activities for risk and defect prevention, as well as by promoting an effective approach to successful project execution.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Leading and/or coordinating the QM functions of other organizational units within the project.
- Serving as the central point of contact for the customer regarding quality-related topics and representing customer-specific quality requirements.
- Exercising a steering and controlling function for all quality and process matters.
- Ensuring adherence to defined processes.
- Actively promoting, supporting, applying, and driving quality (assurance) management methods (e.g., Quality Gates, NC Management, Root Cause Analyses, Lessons Learned, Risk Management, etc.).
- Introducing regular QM project reporting as an integral part of overall project reporting.
- Creating/compiling quality specifications based on customer tenders or contracts, and communicating them to other affected organizational units (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing).
- Ensuring that required quality evidence is communicated and available, thereby fulfilling quality requirements.
- Developing/compiling and coordinating the quality strategy, as well as documenting it in the QM Plan.
Your success will be grounded by:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional experience and sound working knowledge in Project Management and Quality Management, ideally including experience in consulting and process modelling.
- Good knowledge of the technicalities of rail vehicles and the technologies and manufacturing processes applied therein.
- Strong analytical and structuring abilities, and a systematic approach.
- Strong management skills and excellent communication skills (in both German and English language preferably).
- Flexibility to engage with a wide variety of technical and procedural topics in projects, and to collaboratively develop targeted solutions within a team.
- A commitment to continuous learning and willingness to travel as required.
