We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Performance Engineer to join our Siemens Performance team on the Eurostar contract in London! This person would be responsible to monitor the fleet and analyse multiple data sources to determine root cause failure of systematic issues and develop prioritised improvement plans to drive maintenance and reliability improvements for the fleet to consistently achieve high levels of performance!
The successful person will also play a key role in supporting the digital development of both the on train and off train Siemens tools. This is a unique opportunity to work on one of Siemens most technically complex, high-profile fleets and we will offer an excellent training package to help you develop your knowledge and skills. You will need to live within an hour (maximum) commute of the depot or be willing to consider relocation.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Investigating all in-service delays and casualties for the fleet.
- Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers in identifying root cause failures for defect systems and components.
- Monitoring reliability trends in the fleet performance and developing improvement plans and proposals based upon root cause analysis and forecasted improvements.
- Regular dialogue and meetings with the customer to attribute performance in accordance with the contract.
- Identifying further opportunities to improve reliability and reduce the life cycle costs of the fleet by application of RCM techniques.
- Exploiting opportunities for the continued development of Siemens digital tools to best support both Siemens and our customer Eurostar.
Your success will be grounded by:
- Rolling stock experience in either: performance, technical, design, commissioning, maintenance or operational environments.
- Experience of train borne IT and knowledge of train control systems.
- Experience in a customer-facing environment.
- The ability to operate and develop spreadsheets and databases.
- Experience of using Rail Attribution Systems (preferred).
