We are looking for a n experienced and motivated Building Management System (BMS) Service Team Leader to join our Smart Infrastructure division .
In this role, you'll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to deliver BMS service activities across customer site s.
You'll coordinate engineering workloads, support service delivery, and play a key role in the growth and development of the team.
This role involves regular travel to customer sites across the UK, typically three days per week.
Y our defined geographical area will be the North of the UK (primarily Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester).
Successful applicants will generally work within this defined geographical area, however travel outside this allocated area will be required from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities for BMS systems
- Coordinate engineer workloads and schedules to ensure effective service delivery across customer sites
- Act as the point of contact for raised technical issues and complex fault diagnostics
- Ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs and customer expectation
- Conduct site audits, system health checks, and performance evaluations
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
- Assist in the development of energy-saving strategies and system optimi s ations
- Participate in out of hours customer support
- Maintain accurate service records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working with BMS systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation
- Formal technical trainingin Building Services, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (e. g. HNC, HND, BTEC or similar )
- Experience as a supervisor, team leader, or have worked in a role involving workload coordination and oversight of others
- Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organi s ational abilities
- Siemens training or certification
- Experience with energy management and smart building technologies
- F amiliarity with communication protocols such as BACNet , Modbus, and KN X
- Knowledge of IT networks and cybersecurity in BMS environments
- Formal line management experience within a technical engineering environment
