We are recruiting for an Assistant Project Procurement Manager to join our team in Siemens Mobility. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Customer Services Procurement Team based in Goole or Northampton.

The mission of our Procurement Department is to work with our Supply Chain, particularly our UK suppliers, to find innovative products and services. We work in close collaboration with our cross functional colleagues to ensure we deliver great products for our customers.

Reporting to the Head of Project Procurement, you will manage various sourcing activities, playing a key role in ensuring that the UK\’s rail network provides the best possible services to passengers. You will support the delivery of our train maintenance projects across the UK through the management of supplier performance.

You\’ll make a difference by …

  • Developing robust procurement strategies aligned to bid / project scope requirements and drive these through the implementation phase.
  • Developing the skills required to draft subcontracts and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Supporting and maintain the procurement strategy and ensure this is aligned with the wider business
  • Participate in project kick off meetings to ensure procurement requirements are built in at the front end.
  • Implementing robust procurement processes and controls into the projects in line with governance.
  • Building and keep effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Implementing a robust Supplier Management regime to document supplier performance and drive improvements.
  • Identifying Supply Chain Risks and ensure these are documented as part of our wider due diligence process.
