Your learning will be supported throughout your programme by Siemens mentors and by one of our training partners who will be the apprenticeship provider.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in designing fire detection and alarm systems, public address and voice alarm (PA/VA) systems, aspirating smoke detection systems, disabled refuge systems, access control systems, CCTV surveillance systems, and intruder alarm systems.
- Helping to prepare and maintain accurate lists of materials and equipment needed for pricing and ordering (known as a Bill of Materials or BOM).
- Supporting the creation of design documents, including drawings, diagrams, and layout plans.
- Learning how to understand and apply key safety and electrical standards.
- Taking part in design reviews and meetings with fellow team members and stakeholders.
- Assisting in putting together Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals that explain how systems work and how to look after them.
- Following company procedures and any specific documentation requirements from clients.
- Helping to manage technical questions and requests for more information from the team or clients.

- Have a positive attitude and are ready to take initiative and get stuck in.
- Pay close attention to detail and enjoy solving problems.
- Communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Have some basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems (this is a bonus, not a must!).
