As a Field Service Engineer Apprentice at Siemens Healthineers, you will be an integral part of our field-based engineering team of approximately 200 engineers across Great Britain & Ireland. Your responsibilities will include installing, repairing, and maintaining our cutting-edge medical systems and providing essential technical service support to our customers at hospital sites across the UK, initially focusing on the M6 corridor region (Stoke, Crewe, Warrington and surrounds). You will earn Level 3 and 4 accredited qualifications while you work.
What to Expect
- Attend a local college to work towards achieving a Level 3 in Mechatronic Engineering, progressing to a Level 4 qualification over the 4-year period. If you already have Level 3, you will work towards a Level 4 Lead Engineer qualification.
- Visit customer sites across the M6 corridor region (Stoke, Crewe, Warrington and surrounds), as well as Siemens manufacturing sites and training centres in Germany and the US.
- Gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues on high-tech medical products.
- Upon completion of the apprenticeship and with a good training record, you will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent full-time position as a Customer Service Engineer with opportunities for further education and product training.

Benefits
- Starting salary £15,000 - £19,950 (age dependent) with generous annual performance-based increases and opportunity to work with our generous overtime package.
- A van for business use during the apprenticeship and fuel costs covered by the business.
- £500 fund for driving lessons, theory test, and practical test fees if you do not yet have a driving license. A full UK driving license is expected within the first 9 months of the apprenticeship.

- Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course.
- Have left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start.
- Be aged at least 16 years old to meet government funding criteria.
