At Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology in Eynsham, Oxford, we’ve been welcoming apprentices for many years and you will join a network of apprentices and early career professionals that are highly valued across the business. Our site is at the forefront of manufacturing high‑tech medical imaging equipment used by healthcare professionals worldwide, and our Manufacturing Engineering team are a vital part of this operation and our mission to make MRI systems more widely accessible across the world.

Starting at the end of August 2026, as a Level 3 Advanced Engineering Technician Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies. In this four‑year Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, you will gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in Engineering and Manufacturing in a world‑class environment. Over time, you’ll take on more responsibility and accountability as your skills, knowledge and expertise increase to set you up to excel in future Manufacturing Operations roles.

Our operations are currently run from our Eynsham site, and we are currently in the process of building and planning the transition of our operations to a brand‑new Bicester facility as it comes to life in 2027. You’ll be working with teams at both locations and gaining unique insight into how a large‑scale business manages the transition of operations, while maintaining day‑to‑day delivery.

Your role will involve joining one of our teams within Manufacturing Operations, which is responsible for the production of superconducting magnets that are installed in MRI and Medical Imaging machines. You will gain experience across all areas of production but will develop specialist skills and knowledge within one area over the four years. You will report to one of our Cell Leaders and your training will be supervised by a qualified assessor. In addition to this, we have a strong network of current Apprentices at different stages already partway through their Apprenticeships with us.

Over the four years you will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, which is delivered in partnership with BMet.

Training will be in the form of block release to college in the first year, followed by day release for the second.
