At Siemens Healthineers, we pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Service & Spares Planning to lead our Service and Spares Planning function, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support customers, field service teams, and ultimately patient care. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for strategy deployment, operational performance, inventory optimization, risk management, and team leadership across a complex global supply chain environment.
The Opportunity
As Senior Manager, Service & Spares Planning, you will define and implement planning strategies that drive supply availability, improve service levels, optimize inventory investment, and support business growth. You will work closely with Service, Finance Strategic Procurement and other parts of the Plan and Materials Group while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on planning and supply-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Deploy and execute Service & Spares Planning strategy in alignment with broader Supply Chain objectives.
- Establish and maintain planning standards, policies, governance, and best practices.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior leaders on planning and supply chain matters.
- Planning & Supply Chain Excellence
- Ensure reliable supply of service parts to support customer and business requirements.
- Drive inventory optimization while maintaining target service levels.
- Develop demand, replenishment, and stocking strategies across global networks working on existing product lines as well as managing support for New Product Introductions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning effectiveness and operational performance.
- Manage change and returns activities to promote improved sustainability and reduced scrap/supply gaps from Engineering Changes.
- Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks impacting service continuity.
- Develop business continuity and contingency planning strategies.
- Proactively address material constraints and supply disruptions.
- Performance Management
- Own and drive Service & Spares Planning KPIs, including service levels, inventory health, forecast accuracy, and stock turns.
- Monitor performance trends and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Deliver regular business insights and performance reviews to leadership teams.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing planning organization.
- Manage resource allocation, organizational priorities, and departmental budgets.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Build strong succession plans and talent development pathways.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience in Supply Chain Planning, Service Parts Planning, Materials Planning, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Proven experience managing planning teams within a complex global organization.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory optimization, service parts management, and supply chain processes.
- Experience leading strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and process improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a data-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to balance customer service, inventory investment, and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
