Due to increasing growth opportunities Varian is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Senior Customer Account Manager (f/m/d). Reporting directly to the VP World Wide Sales and Commercialization for Proton Solutions, you will lead commercial relationships, manage strategic contracts, and collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for our Proton Solutions customers across EMEA and Central Asia – building strong, long-term partnerships
- Lead commercial discussions and manage agreements, including upgrades, new products, and service contracts
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Project Management, Marketing, Global Field Operations) to ensure smooth contract execution and customer satisfaction
- Align with other business lines within Varian to ensure strategic and commercial objectives are achieved consistently across the organization
- Drive sales and marketing activities for Proton Solutions upgrades and future product launches
- Oversee and coordinate all customer training activities related to Proton Solutions products in the region
- Represent Varian as a trusted partner in the field of radiation therapy, contributing to the advancement of cancer care
Your Profile
- 10+ years of experience in the medical technology industry, with a strong background in Radiation Therapy
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex commercial contracts, including upgrades, service, and customer agreements
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows and services in radiation therapy and the ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions
- Experience in the proton therapy market is a strong plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both clinical and executive stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset – you work effectively across functions and cultures
- Business fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel across the region (approx. 50%)
