You’ll play a key role in delivering the equipment, processes and capability that enable innovative products and life-changing healthcare technologies. This role offers the chance to step into a senior, hands-on project engineering position with real responsibility. You’ll lead the delivery of complex, multi-million-pound projects, work across multiple manufacturing sites, and help raise the standard of how projects are executed across the business. You’ll be at the centre of manufacturing delivery — turning plans into reality, solving real problems on the shop floor, and ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital projects end-to-end, from concept and justification through procurement, installation and delivery, strengthening manufacturing capability.
- Drive process and equipment development, supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement across manufacturing.
- Act as a senior technical and delivery point of reference during project execution.
- Work closely with operations, quality and engineering teams to align requirements, manage priorities and deliver successful project outcomes.
- Partner with design teams to ensure products and processes are manufacturable, scalable and cost-effective.
- Own supplier and contractor relationships, managing specifications, technical delivery, schedules and performance.
- Ensure successful project outcomes post-delivery, monitoring performance of new equipment and processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Plan and control project delivery, building schedules, managing risks and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to improving project ways of working, applying strong knowledge of the project lifecycle to help raise delivery standards across the business.
Your qualifications and experience
Essential- Degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or a related field, or extensive equivalent experience.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects, ideally in a manufacturing or technology environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make decisions and drive issues to resolution.
- Proficiency in controlling projects using project management tools (e.g. MS Projects, Atlassian Jira or Azure DevOps).
- Clear and collaborative communication skills, able to work with engineers, operators and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
- Exposure to agile project management working practices (SAFe, Scrum, KanBan etc.).
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Formal project management training or certification (PRINCE2, PMP or similar).
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or scaling manufacturing processes.
- Experience in regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environments such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive or electronics.
