Completes technical-oriented service tasks of various scopes and supports in planning and managing these tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Support in a Control Room environment, monitoring and resolving equipment issues during Clinical Treatment
  • Completing corrective and preventative maintenance, primarily out of hours
  • Accurate record keeping, aligned to Medical Device Quality Processes

This role requires Shift Work, nominally 8-hour shifts (Early, Late, Nights) with occasional weekend work.

  • Proton Therapy Scope of responsibilities
  • Provide monitoring and immediate response in support of the customer during clinical use of the Proton Therapy (PT) System
  • Troubleshooting, corrective and preventive maintenance
  • Ensuring the performance of the PT System meets specifications
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and performance of the PT System
  • Contribute to fault investigations and system improvements
  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Good knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, preferably 2 to 4 years in a regulated service role

• Technical experience, or willingness to learn about

  • Mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems interfacing to Beckhoff and Siemens S7 PLCs (drives, encoders, safety systems)
  • Vacuum Systems
  • DC Magnet Power Supplies and Switching up to 1250A
  • RF High Power Solid State Amplifier (150k W)
  • Cooling Water and Cryo Systems
  • Robotics (Kuka KRC4)
  • Xray Systems
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Willingness to work in a rotating shift pattern including nights and occasional weekends
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Comfortable working at heights and in awkward spaces
  • Capable of lifting 16-20KG in accordance with HSE manual handling at work guidance
  • Other Desired Skills And Knowledge
  • Familiar with business tools such as: SAP, Sales Force Unity, E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Knowledge of radiotherapy solutions and radiological safety
