We are seeking a Product Manager to manage our commercial customer‑facing Smart Services in Varian. This critical role reports to the Serviceability portfolio lead to ensure our solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Location: Anywhere within EMEA (remote). Fluency in English is required; other European languages are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and serviceability objectives.
- Act as the main contact for stakeholders, capturing and translating their requirements into actionable features.
- Maintain the product roadmap, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, collaborating with the development team for timely delivery that provides measurable value.
- Ensure secure, user‑centric design and compliance with internal security policies and regulations.
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications for efficient implementation.
- Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize impactful features.
- Coordinate releases and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Define and track KPIs to measure success.
- Gather feedback and drive continuous product improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable interacting with technical and business professionals at all levels.
- Experience writing user stories, creating product backlogs, prioritizing work, and performing story acceptance.
- Familiarity with large‑scale computing platforms, multi‑tenant architectures, cloud‑based solutions, and high‑availability solutions.
- Proficiency with productivity tools such as JAMA, Azure DevOps, and Monday.
- Experience managing backlogs and collaborating with co‑located Agile teams in global R&D centers.
- Strong user‑centric perspective and ability to bring customer needs into product design.
- Product Management or equivalent experience.
- Broad knowledge of enterprise IT and/or Cloud SaaS markets, preferably related to the healthcare industry.
- Experience identifying business opportunities, building product strategy, and influencing delivery against a multi‑year roadmap.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and ISO27001 requirements (a plus).
- Understanding of Agile SDLC methodologies.
- Strong grasp of core technologies in their product domain and understanding of technical alternatives.
- Entrepreneurial drive and willingness to roll up your sleeves with a general manager mentality.
