The Chemical Technician will be responsible for the safe handling, storing, mixing, testing and producing of batches within the wet and pouch production departments. This is a full‑time permanent position on site at our Sudbury facility. The hours of work are 06:00 to 14:00 Mon‑Thurs and 06:00 to 12:30 Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely handle and dispose of chemicals on site, adhering to COSHH and ensuring the safety of others.
  • Accurately weigh out chemicals, ensuring raw materials are within expiry and process checks are adhered to throughout, to ensure a quality batch release.
  • Ensure batches are produced to internal standards, use test methods, analyze data and make calculations to remain within tolerances.
  • Maintain and complete accurate records, following good documentation practice.
  • Approve labels.
  • Prepare and reference internal laboratory standards.
  • Meet GMP compliance and FDA standards.
  • Solve assigned non‑routine tasks and contribute to projects or assignments and support developments or projects.
Qualifications:
  • Able to manage time effectively and possess a desire to succeed.
  • Able to work to controlled standard operating procedures, following processes without deviation.
  • Effective team member and able to communicate across functions.
  • Curious – keen to understand, learn and try new things, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A science (chemical related) degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a medical/Pharma manufacturing environment.
  • IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
