Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Configuration and Test Technician within the Specialty Lab Diagnostics business line at our facility in Llanberis.
This is a great opportunity to join and support the delivery of a crucial strategic project for our SLS business line and Llanberis. As a Configuration and Test Technician you will be empowered to configure, build, test, develop, and standardise all manufactured assembly and test processes, so that they are built following the standards set out in IED (Interactive Electronic Documentation = equivalent to a digital batch record) that will form the overall construction of an IMMULITE XPi and Versacell instrument. In addition to this you will be able to configure the IMMULITE XPi and also run the chemistry test methods to ensure the instrument works in line with the instruments specifications.
You will work in partnership with the existing instrument knowledge transfer team to develop best practices in workstation design, and manufacturing flow to ensure a smooth manufacturing ramp up and the subsequent development of a world class manufacturing operation in our Llanberis facility.
This role will start on 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Configure IMMULITE XPI and Versacell instruments according to established procedures and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the configuration and testing process.
- Perform functional testing and calibration of instruments to ensure they meet performance standards.
- Document test results, configurations, and any issues encountered during testing.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address and resolve product issues.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in the development and improvement of testing procedures and protocols.
- Provide feedback to the manufacturing and engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability.
- Provide input to the process for the control and disposition of any non-conforming materials, completing tasks, documentation, and segregating materials as required within the QMS
- Effectively communicate with both internal & external suppliers/stakeholders. Be point of contact to escalate issues as required, ensuring consistency and adherence to processes.
- Complete assigned training within the defined timescales.
- Participate in TS5QDIP meetings, provide accurate and timely reports, and take ownership for the achievement of target KPI\’s and operational performance for the role.
- Actively use business systems such as IED, CATSWEB, CERDAAC, SAP, Documentum & Learn4U.
- Ensuring compliance with QMS and all safety, health and environmental (SHE) legislation.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Associate degree in electronics, engineering, or science related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in configuring and testing complex instruments or equipment, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency with testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
