A Snapshot of Your Day

Working within the Siemens Energy regional technical support team, you will be based at one of our UK engineering locations as a Technical Site Planner. Our team offers support for our UK & Ireland clients operating gas turbine assets. You will be accountable to assist in the planning, prepare documentation and deliver outage support covering all the required tasks, tooling, parts and EHS requirements which enables all key stakeholders to execute the outage efficiently and in line with the customer expectation.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for technical planning of site activities to be performed, preparing the appropriate documentation, specification of spare parts, tooling, and preparing technical plans for each outage.
  • Involvement in brief/debriefing activity as required.
  • Responsible for the provision of detailed technical plans and drawings for all Field Service Site activity.
  • Engage with a range of functions across the business to deliver excellent support to your customers.
  • Use SAP as the primary tool for internal communications to ensure traceability and audit ability on outages.
  • To ensure all the Siemens Energy processes and compliance requirements are always implemented and adhered to.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support our customers, including the occasional opportunity for travel to customer sites.
  • Provide frequent feedback and reviews on completed work packs to integrate lessons learned from stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Have relevant experience in the operation and service of Gas Turbine packages, with experience in control systems, ancillary equipment and supporting infrastructure being advantageous.
  • A balance of industry experience and education will be considered.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft applications such as Projects, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with the Siemens Energy Distributed Gas Turbine product lines, including legacy and non-Siemens Energy 3rd Party products.
  • Be comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced customer-facing situations, with the ability to work flexibly to deliver creative, robust, safe solutions to our customers.
  • Self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills and willing to work within a team environment.
  • Know how to manage your own time and adapt to change.
