As a Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for the financial and commercial integrity of assigned projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring projects are executed profitably and in full compliance with established financial guidelines and contractual requirements. This involves meticulous financial planning, execution, and controlling from project inception through to completion. You will serve as the main commercial point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and professionally resolving any commercial issues that arise.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Build sales orders and set up projects in the SAP system.
- Manage revenue recognition and customer invoicing in accordance with payment terms.
- Maintain and control project costs, ensuring alignment with the project budget.
- Oversee payment securities, tax‑related matters, and insurance requirements for projects.
- Manage all commercial aspects, including setting up projects in SAP, handling revenue recognition, invoicing, and cost control.
- Perform financial forecasting and reporting, analyse project performance, identify deviations, and present key financial metrics to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on various business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of project books and records in compliance with financial guidelines (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP).
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for clients and other external stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, International Business, or a related financial discipline with a strong background in finance or accounting.
- Demonstrable experience in project accounting and controlling within a commercial function.
- Proficiency in SAP is highly preferred, coupled with a keen awareness of commercial and contractual issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach are essential for success in this role.
- Certifications: IPMA or equivalent, CIMA, ACCA.
