We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Hull Blade Factory. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for planning and executing assigned maintenance or repair projects, which involves a range of qualifications or personal resources. You will also be analysing technical problems on site, and plan resources and budgets needed to solve the issue.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Setting up maintenance projects, proposing resources, assigning targets and work orders, and monitoring progress of repair measures
- Acting as first point of contact for resolving more complex issues
- Overseeing ramp up while setting up procedures to prepare machines & equipment for operations
- Planning and completing installation projects on site, ensuring proper documentation and cooperation with involved operations
- Supporting maintenance of technical documentation of processes and equipment
- Advising technicians in maintenance and repair
- Conducting assessments
- Check SAP daily for breakdowns/segment equipment information
- Updating JIRA/SAP actions
- Reviewing equipment documentation
- Writing/Reviewing Planned Maintenance Schedules
- Attending segment meetings to build relationships and prioritise works
- Contractor management
- Following safe systems of work i.e., Risk Assessments, Permit to Work etc.
- Assisting with engineering projects – equipment workshops and strategy interaction
- Working with EHS on new implementations and safety reporting i.e., Enablon’s and Take 5s (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
- Providing on call support for the escalation procedure
- Ordering spare parts & managing purchase orders while working with finance team
What You Bring
- Prior engineering experience working in manufacturing industry is essential
- Preferably someone with the apprentice experience
- Problem‑solving skill with the ability to lead by example
- Basic IT knowledge is advantageous
- The ability to contribute positively to a team working environment
- Demonstration of creative thinking and openness to new ideas would be preferred
