As the Culture & Employee Engagement Lead within our Small Gas Turbines (SGT) business, you will play a key role in shaping a positive, connected, and high-performing working environment across the organisation. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, your day will involve partnering with senior leaders, driving engagement initiatives, developing impactful internal communications, and supporting cultural transformation across the business.

You’ll work across a broad range of strategic and operational activities, from designing employee engagement strategies and leading change initiatives, to managing internal communications platforms and supporting leadership teams with communication and engagement activities. This is a highly visible role focused on helping Team SGT strengthen culture, accountability, collaboration, and employee connection.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive culture and employee engagement strategy aligned to the objectives of the Small Gas Turbines business.
  • Analyse employee feedback, engagement surveys, and organisational data to identify opportunities to improve employee experience and workplace culture.
  • Coach and advise senior leaders on communication approaches that support organisational change, transformation, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Lead and independently manage culture-related projects and initiatives from concept through to implementation and review.
  • Create, edit, and manage engaging content across internal communication channels including newsletters, intranet platforms, emails, and internal social media.
  • Manage the SGT internal communications calendar, ensuring consistent messaging aligned to business priorities and corporate objectives.
  • Support and enhance digital communication and collaboration tools such as Viva Engage to strengthen communication and employee interaction across the business.
  • Design and embed programmes such as “Values in Action” to reinforce cultural expectations, accountability, and positive workplace behaviours.
  • Drive transformation initiatives through effective change management, stakeholder engagement, and employee-led collaboration activities.
  • Facilitate and support internal communities, employee forums, leadership meetings, and engagement activities across the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and business functions to support communication and rollout of company-wide programmes and initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Significant experience within employee engagement, internal communications, culture transformation, or organisational development roles.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute communication and engagement strategies within a complex business environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior leadership teams.
  • Experience leading change management or transformation initiatives, ideally supported by a recognised change management qualification such as Prosci.
  • Excellent content creation, storytelling, editing, and digital communication skills.
  • Experience managing communication platforms, engagement tools, and digital collaboration systems such as Viva Engage or similar platforms.
  • Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple initiatives independently.
  • Excellent coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, resilient, and collaborative approach with a passion for building positive workplace culture.
