A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is a replacement for a Field Service Group Leader to manage a billable Instrumentation & Control (I&C) team, ensuring operational capacity aligns with regional plans for the Small Gas Turbine fleet. As a Team Leader (M1) within Global Service Operations, you will be critical in maintaining service delivery and team performance. Your responsibilities will be structured around three core areas:

  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Operational & Resource Management
  • Financial & EHS Governance

This framework ensures the direct supervision of para-professional Field Service Engineers, effective planning of daily operations and global mobilizations, and strict adherence to budget and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess essential leadership experience within an engineering context, coupled with strong skills in operational planning and resource management. A degree in a relevant engineering discipline and a background in field service operations are highly advantageous for success in this role.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Set day-to-day operational objectives for a team of up to 50 Field Service Engineers, managing performance, time, and professional development.
  • Foster team motivation and engagement, ensuring adherence to company policies, practices, and procedures for a globally dispersed team.
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations, including welfare, training, and competency development to build and sustain a high-performing technical team.
  • Oversee daily resource planning and utilization for the billable I&C Field Service team to meet capacity and project demands.
  • Manage and coordinate field mobilizations for a global fleet of Small Gas Turbines, serving as the primary point for handling operational escalations.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold Field Service best practices and standards within the team to ensure world class service delivery and consistency.

What You Bring

  • Essential experience in a leadership role, preferably within a large engineering organization.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in an Engineering related subject is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams in multicultural environments or across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
