Imagine stepping into a role where you are the key player in delivering essential maintenance services for Small Gas Turbines (SGTs). As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will execute complex on-site installations, commissioning, and testing, ensuring operational reliability and customer satisfaction around the world. You will manage major overhauls and equipment upgrades independently, utilising advanced diagnostic tools to tackle challenging mechanical and electrical issues. How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will execute complex on-site installation, commissioning, and testing of SGT packages, adhering to engineering specifications.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to ad-hoc service requests, diagnosing and resolving difficult mechanical and electrical issues.
- You will act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing expert advice and building long-term service relationships.
- Manage assigned field service projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior engineers, contributing to their professional development and the improvement of field service procedures.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent vocational training and extensive experience.
- Significant experience as a Field Service Engineer, specifically with industrial rotating equipment, and direct experience with SGTs is highly desirable.
- You possess proven experience in managing service projects and working independently on complex technical problems.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and analytical skills, enabling you to perform root cause analysis on complex system failures.
- You excel in customer relationship management and have the influencing skills necessary to secure future business opportunities.
