What is a Logistics Operative and what do they do? Safety is absolutely paramount with this role and the confidence to challenge anything deemed unsafe is desired. Logistics Operatives move, position or place blades, related components, machinery and equipment around the blade facility (internally and externally). When the Logistics Operatives are not performing blade and related components/equipment moves they will be required to support other areas of production as required and be responsible for housekeeping of work area. Additionally, Logistics Operatives clean and maintain machines and their work area to create a tidy and safe work environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Follow Siemens safety policy, procedures, risk assessments and quality standards
  • Organise and plan blade/component moves in accordance with manufacturers operating procedures
  • Check and monitor movements constantly ensuring very high levels of attention to detail
  • Ensure safe positioning of people as movements are conducted
  • Perform forklift, Master mover, Linde mover, mobile gantry crane and Oven duties in line with specified training and competency measures
  • Ensure all relevant personnel are fully aware of the job task prior to commencement of work
  • Responsible for work area housekeeping (internally and externally)
  • Stop the operation if an action is considered unsafe and report
  • Inspect equipment daily and report fault

What You Bring:

  • Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environments, ideally within an operational or production setting.
  • Basic SAP or inventory management system experience, with the ability to complete system transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification and experience operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • A safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
