A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as the Head of PFS Operations for the UK, where you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within our newly formed Products, Field Services & Substation Upgrades (PFS) business. Imagine establishing dedicated leadership that sets the direction for operational strategy while managing financial performance. Your day will revolve around three core areas:

  • Implementing operational policies and strategies.
  • Overseeing service delivery and project execution.
  • Leading a team of experienced professionals.

With your significant experience in managing field service and project-based teams, you will enhance efficiency, quality, and safety, ensuring we meet our business objectives and customer satisfaction targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Implement operational policies and strategies aligned with short-term business objectives for PFS Operations, driving the overall direction of the team.
  • Manage the departmental budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting, to ensure profitability and effective financial management.
  • Oversee the delivery of field services and substation upgrade projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex customer issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution while maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of experienced professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance through regular performance reviews and resource allocation.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Significant experience in operational management, preferably within the power generation, transmission, or a related technical services industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams of experienced technical professionals or engineers.
  • Demonstrable experience with financial management, including budgeting and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong strategic and analytical abilities, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
