As an Advanced Craftsperson at Siemens Energy your day will involve attending multiple customer substation sites across the country. Your primary responsibilities will include carrying out primary and secondary installation and service activities on HV wound plant and equipment, both onshore and offshore. Additionally, you will contribute and support Service Centre Operational tasks as required. It is essential that you represent Siemens Energy Transmission Service in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Accountable for site installation of High Voltage Wound Plant from Siemens Energy and other manufacturers.
- Responsible for service activities on wound plant and associated equipment, including primary and secondary work.
- Lead Working Party activities as a Permit Holder or Technical Lead, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by complying with health, safety, and environment policies and legislation.
- Monitor performance and workmanship of the site team and subcontractors, ensuring satisfactory quality and technical standards.
- Actively promote innovation to improve efficiency and support apprentice development.
- Participate in training and development activities to maintain proficiency in relevant areas.
- Ensure completion and sign-off of installation and commissioning records, and liaise with the project manager on program difficulties.
What You Bring
- Experience working on electrical substations, construction sites, or in other mechanical and electrical industries.
- Required experience in the installation, service, or manufacture of HV Wound Plant.
- Experience in the erection of primary plant and secondary installations within the T&D industry.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices is essential.
