How You’ll Make An Impact
- Year 1 – Build Your Foundation
- Working full time within the site project team
- Off the job training with recognised training provider
- Begin working toward your Level 4 Associate Project Manager and APM qualification
- Year 2 – Learn on the Job
- Gain further experience within the team gaining in depth knowledge of plant projects and processes
- Continue regular engagement with the training provider ensuring all Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours and APM qualification standards are met.
- Complete your EPA and APM qualification and potentially progress to a higher level.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll work within the project team, giving you broad exposure to understanding the processes involved with running projects on an ever-changing manufacturing facility. You’ll strengthen your skills while working alongside highly skilled professionals. The role is both varied and challenging, requiring you to be proactive and take ownership of several key tasks which include:
- Working With People
- Work alongside customers and suppliers to support project delivery
- Liaise with on-site stakeholders to gather information and resolve queries
- Build strong working relationships across the Project Management team
- Tools & Systems
- Use project tools and trackers such as JIRA
- Apply strong Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Project Coordination
- Organise and maintain project documentation
- Update project plans, schedules, and trackers
- Prepare meeting agendas and take clear, accurate minutes
- Follow up on action items with team members
- Tracking & Reporting
- Track project progress against agreed timelines
- Update dashboards and status reports
- Monitor risks and issues, escalating when necessary
- Collect weekly updates from team members
