Looking for an opportunity to be part of a growing team within a dynamic business, delivering innovation to the renewable energy.
We are looking for a Offshore Service Technician to join the team at Gwynt Y Mor Offshore Windfarm, located in Mostyn, United Kingdom. As a technician you will perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspections on the customers wind farms and be responsible for safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm to ensure the correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions.
The shift pattern will be predominantly based around 8 days on 6 days off throughout the year.
Some of the key areas we want you to be involved in include:

  • Assist the team in delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at site
  • Diagnose and rectify turbine related faults
  • Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation and equipment
  • Responsible for tool maintenance and management
  • Responsible to develop and deliver the technical and safety Toolbox Talk’s
  • Provide accurate reporting into and utilisation of inhouse database and other electronic workflow systems
  • Comply with task related Environment Health and Safety, Quality and Technical documentation and ensure compliance at site level with all requirements. e.g. Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks. Guarantee compliance with site rules and regulations

What you need to make a difference:
A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for

  • Someone having electrical background will be Ideal for this role
  • Individual having experience in working in a complex and large environment interfacing with multiple stakeholders will be preferred
  • A self-motivated individual with ability to cope with the pressures of time
  • Experience working with MS Office applications, ATS and Fluix is an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technically complicated topics concisely
  • Due to the location of the role and the role requirements, the successful candidate must have a valid driving license
  • Trained to National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 3 or 4 or full apprenticeship scheme will be preferred
  • Experience of working in the wind industry would be preferable
  • Experience on Gamesa, Senvion or Siemens platforms would be an added advantage
