We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trouble-Shooter (D6 and above) to join our Heavy Lift team carrying out Major Component exchanges from a Jack-Up vessel, who performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment, ensures Environment Health & Safety (EHS) standards are improved as an individual and as a group through active participation and engagement with SGRE EHS processes, lead and be part of a team when carrying out main component exchanges and carry out technical duties (Mechanical & Electrical) on Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) to the highest Quality.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Diagnose and rectify turbine related faults
- Lead the accurate completion of paperwork related to the project and provide upward feedback on potential improvements
- Working to daily objectives and delivering results that have a direct impact to the Wind Turbine
- Provide technical instruction and guidance to peers and less experienced members of Heavy Lift Team
- Ensure that all parts and tools are adequately stored and in good condition when used and any certification/inspection/calibration on tooling is managed to minimise disruption to the project
- Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation and equipment
- Responsible to develop and deliver the technical and safety Toolbox Talk's
- Comply with task related Environment Health and Safety, Quality and Technical documentation and ensure compliance at site level with all requirements. e.g. Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks. Guarantee compliance with site rules and regulations
What you need to make a difference

- D6 and above Trouble-shooter competencies
- Individual having experience in working in a complex and large environment interfacing with multiple stakeholders will be preferred
- A self-motivated individual with ability to cope with the pressures of time
- Experience working with MS Office applications and Fluix is an added advantage
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technically complicated topics concisely
- Due to the location of the role and the role requirements, the successful candidate must have a valid driving license
- Trained to National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 3 or 4 or full apprenticeship scheme will be preferred
- Experience of working in the wind industry
- Experience on Gamesa, Senvion or Siemens platforms would be an added advantage
