Join Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as a Health and Safety Specialist and take the lead in ensuring the safety and sustainability of our offshore wind farm operations off the UK East Coast in Lowestoft. Your role will involve collecting and reporting observations of near misses, accidents, and incidents, ensuring compliance with Siemens Gamesa procedures and local legal requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Engage with and promote the "Zero Harm" EHS Culture across the site.
- Support local engagement and alignment with overall EHS strategic objectives.
- Implement the company’s health, safety, and environmental management systems effectively.
- Proactively supervise hazards, identify risks, and facilitate the implementation of effective control measures.
- Partner with operations management and employees to provide mentorship on legislation, standards, and local expectations.
What You Bring
- A NEBOSH or equivalent level 5/6 EHS related qualification is preferable, or a willingness to work towards it.
- Previous EHS experience in an operational/engineering environment, ideally within a power service or heavily regulated industry.
- Demonstrable experience in providing pragmatic EHS guidance and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage unplanned events and take control of situations effectively.
- Full UK/EU driving license and willingness to travel.
