A Snapshot of Your Day

You will join our LIF team in Construction & Operation, which is overall responsible for offshore lifting operations from planning to execution.

This role is pivotal in ensuring lifting operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.

You will provide HSE support to the offshore lifting team, while also driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the lifting community.

  • Author and implement SE WP internal operational control document, and standards for lifting activities
  • Support the offshore lifting team with document review and HSE support
  • Support the business in training development, and competency frameworks for site-based Lifting personnel.
  • Maintain an overview of lifting related incident reports.
  • Support lifting related lessons learned and drive implementation of corrective actions
  • Support incident investigations related to lifting operations and equipment, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Support lifting engineers in providing HSE expertise and experience driven data to lifting equipment design
  • Support Sales and Procurement with any HSE lifting related queries
  • Promote and embed a strong lifting safety culture.
  • Active membership in international safety committees or organizations, demonstrating a commitment to staying current with industry best practices and safety advancements.

What You Bring

  • Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH (International) diploma, or equivalent)
  • Recognised certification in Lifting Operations (e. g., CPCS A61, LEEA AP, NCCCO Lift Director, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in developing and implementing procedures and guidelines for lifting operations and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of lifting legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of lifting equipment maintenance, inspection, and thorough examination.
  • Experienced in incident investigation related to mechanical handling activities, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical governance and safety-critical environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organisation.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, actively promote integrity and challenging unethical behaviours.
