We are recruiting for an effective and high performing individual to join our Hull Blade Factory team. As a Group Lead (Production Shift Manager) you will be responsible for leading a large team of Production Operatives in a fast-paced environment. You will take full responsibility for performance, ensuring your team has clear direction and a high level of engagement, delivering all activities safely and efficiently. Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for delivery of SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People) and ensuring key KPI targets are achieved across the shift.
- Ensuring the correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensuring optimum utilization of resources.
- Ensuring manufacturing guidelines, processes, and procedures are followed to ensure safe delivery of a high-quality product on time every time.
- Leading and supervising assigned Team Leaders and Operatives across a wide area of disciplines.
- Clear, concise, and effective communications to your team.
- Responsible for performance management across the team.
- Effective and thorough implementation of the blade handover process.
- Leading team in ensuring correct Prisma bookings are adhered to with full understanding of routing importance, managing own teams spend budget for workwear and consumables.
- Management of competence across the operational area.
- Ownership of the HR process for all employees within operational area.
- Hold constructive feedback dialogues to ensure right first time performance is achieved.
- Ownership of operational standards including but not limited to 5S, housekeeping, short interval control and process validation.
- Ownership of takt adherence and line balancing across operational area.
- Ownership for the review of all task related risk assessment within the operational area.
What you need to make a difference:
- Passion for renewable energy and the importance to lead the change.
- Leadership – experienced in managing and directing teams in a manufacturing/production environment preferable.
- Experienced in working in the wind industry desirable but not essential – other applicable industry experience will be considered.
- Possesses excellent decision-making skills and an innovative approach to problem solving – previous experience in resolving issues and supporting high performing, successful teams.
- Experienced in working with and delivering production plans and associated disciplines.
