Job Description

A Snapshot Of Your Day
As a Service Technician at Siemens Gamesa, your day will involve performing service and scheduled maintenance on Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) wind turbine generators. You will be part of a dedicated service team, primarily based at the onshore facility and traveling to offshore wind turbine generators via a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV). Your role will include active safety leadership, compliance with health and safety standards, and collaboration with contractors and customers, providing a variety of learning opportunities and a strong team culture.
How You'll Make An Impact
  • Lead safety initiatives while working in turbines and on the wind farm, ensuring proper reporting of any PPE, transportation, and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and UK legislation regarding Environment, Health and Safety, Quality, and Service delivery.
  • Oversee the delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preparing and implementing work packages and supporting technical supervision of critical tasks.
  • Develop and deliver technical and safety Tool Box Talks to improve team knowledge and safety awareness.
  • Maintain efficient timelines for service activities and assist in crafting daily and weekly plans in conjunction with service planners and coordinators.
  • Provide accurate time booking data and ensure compliance with all task-related documentation, including Work Instructions, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.

What You Bring
  • A passion for renewable energy and a dedication to leading change in the industry
  • Offshore experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Competence to work under pressure as part of a service technician team.
  • Ability to work shifts at the project location, with exact patterns to be confirmed.
  • Ideally, an electrical background with a strong understanding of competency levels as a Technician, Proficient Technician, and Maintenance Technician.
  • Must reside within a 1-hour journey from Port Mostyn, and have a valid driving license for commuting to the port call location.
