Job Description
As an East Anglia THREE Technician, your day will be dynamic and varied, starting with a safety briefing before heading out to the wind farm. You will lead a team in performing maintenance and troubleshooting on Siemens Gamesa wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Throughout the day, you will liaise with other teams, manage work packages, and report progress, all while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead troubleshooting and service teams to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at the site, ensuring adherence to EHS, quality, time, and cost requirements.
- Promote active safety leadership and the #Homesafe EHS culture, ensuring proper reporting of incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Prepare and execute work packages/tasks efficiently, contributing to the overall service delivery.
- Mentor and develop technician competency within your team, providing direct supervision and support on-site.
- Collaborate with field teams, technical functions, and service coordinators to ensure smooth progress on work packages.
- Maintain efficient timelines for service activities and assist in creating daily and weekly plans for site teams in collaboration with the Service Planner/Coordinator/Senior Technician.
What you Bring
- Experience as a Technician, preferably within the wind industry, with a strong aptitude for learning and development.
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a team effectively, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Practical experience with MS Office applications, and familiarity with SAP, MORS, and remote diagnostic tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
- A comprehensive understanding of your competency levels as a Technician, with a desire to continuously improve.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to Wind Turbine Generator locations by CTV and Helicopter.
