A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Material Master Controller within our Additive Manufacturing Technical Services & New Product Introduction team, you will play a key role in ensuring the product and material data that supports our manufacturing operations is accurate, controlled, and available when needed.

Your primary focus will be managing Material Master data within SAP, acting as a key user and supporting colleagues with system and data-related queries.

You will also support our Product Lifecycle Management systems, helping maintain the flow of engineering and product data between PLM and SAP.

Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other teams, you will help ensure new products and engineering changes are correctly established within our systems, supporting an exciting new project within our Additive Manufacturing business.

  • Create, update, and maintain Material Master records within SAP, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and compliant with established data governance standards.
  • Act as a key user for SAP Material Management, providing first-level support, troubleshooting data and system issues, and helping colleagues use processes effectively.
  • Support data flows between Product Lifecycle Management and SAP systems, maintaining data integrity, synchronization, and effective system workflows.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure materials and associated data are correctly established to support New Product Introduction.
  • Manage the data impact of engineering changes across PLM and SAP, investigating inconsistencies, identifying root causes, and helping prevent recurring data issues.
  • Improve Material Master, PLM, and SAP processes by maintaining documentation, supporting users, and identifying opportunities to improve data quality and process efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in Material Master Data Management, data control, or as an SAP key user within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of SAP, particularly SAP Material Management and the creation, maintenance, governance, and troubleshooting of Material Master records.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems and the integration or movement of engineering and product data between PLM and ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of data governance, manufacturing processes, engineering change management, and New Product Introduction activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, excellent attention to detail, and confidence working with data and tools such as Microsoft Excel.
  • A vocational qualification, associate’s degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical or business‑related discipline, combined with strong communication and collaboration skills.
