Join us as a Technical Site Planner for Siemens Energy GS_Distributed_UK&IE Regional product lines. Plan outages efficiently to meet customer expectations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will need to be confident in front of customers and colleagues at all levels by having the key competencies and experience required to fully plan an outage which will enable the key stakeholders to execute the outage efficiently and in line with the customer expectation.
- The Technical Planner will be required to plan their own day-to-day workload and organise themselves effectively to ensure all outages are planned and documentation is prepared in a timely manner.
- You may also be asked to carry out “on the tools” work, if required, as a Lead Engineer to ensure you keep abreast of the issues faced by our engineers on site as well as keeping your experience and knowledge both fresh and up to date. Be able to mobilise at short notice including weekends.
- Be able to visit sites and customer facilities to assist with pre-outage surveys.
- Attention to detail and an excellent understanding of rotating equipment will be key for the planner to be able to plan and prepare an outage for all key stakeholders.
- Fundamentally, you will be required to support the Project Manager, communicate the Outage Plan during the Pre-Mob Brief, and help with technical issues either before or during the outage execution.
- Strong IT and admin skills, to utilise current and future IT systems for the plans and supporting documentation associated with each outage.
What You Bring
- Degree-educated leader with strong communication skills, capable of driving change management, making strategic decisions, solving problems creatively, and fostering innovation within the organisation.
- Experience with Small Gas Turbines (SGT 100-400) is a plus
- IOSH Managing Safely as well as relevant Project Management training, quality training, and leadership/management training
- Able to prepare and present Outage Plans and write FS Reports
- Strong IT and admin skills, to utilise current and future IT systems for the plans and supporting documentation associated with each outage.
- Contract Management / Risks and Opportunity management exposure
- Continuous Process improvement mindset – driving simplification and error proofing.
- Essential: Experience within Medium / Large Organisations with an Engineering background, man management responsibility, commercial & financial management, background preferred Oil & Gas or service businesses, varied stakeholder management.
- Essential: Extensive experience in organising large teams of service engineers and/or administration staff, ability to liaise with other stakeholders within the business, ideally an Engineering qualification, responsibility towards EHS and Zero Harm. Ability to implement new process and manage existing ones through a thorough auditing process.
- Essential: Able to gain the confidence of the key stakeholders that the Outage Plan is accurate and provides the detail to execute the outage accurately
- Essential: Experience with working with other countries/regions or wider product companies, working with internal support departments and customer-facing functions.
