The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Direct Procurement manager, you will join a team of buyers responsible for managing a wide cross section of suppliers delivering a range of products and services associated with Steam Turbines, Generators, Balance of Plant Equipment and Hydrogen Power Units. Day to day activities will include negotiating with suppliers, order placement and managing the successful delivery of hardware through the full purchase order life cycle. Responsibilities will also include supplier qualification and supplier performance management. You will interact with multiple internal and external cross-functional stakeholders – projects, finance, planning, quality, manufacturing, sales and of course the supply chain - to support and add value at the bid phase and throughout project execution.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensure that hardware & services are delivered on time, to the right quality and within budget.
  • Proactively manage day to day supply chain issues.
  • Drive performance improvement across the supply base.
  • Leverage input & expertise from global commodity managers for local business requirements.
  • Support the implementation and application of global Siemens Energy procurement tools & processes.

What You Bring

  • You should be qualified to degree level in a relevant technical or commercial subject or be studying for MCIPS qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a project or engineering-based procurement environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Persistence, tenacity, ownership & problem-solving skills.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
