A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Partner, you will be an integral part of the investment team, helping to lead and develop the practice. You will be fully involved in all steps of origination, execution, and portfolio management. Additionally, you will play a meaningful role in supporting the team’s efforts in strategy development across Europe and the Rest‑of‑World, including participation in conferences and events. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious, entrepreneurial team within the venture capital industry, focused on sustainability and impact.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Leadership of origination activities, including market analysis, prospect identification, and collaboration with industry experts, advisors, and partners.
- Management of full deal execution workstreams, including due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and preparation of investment materials for the Investment Committee, while providing guidance and support to junior deal team members throughout.
- Oversight of portfolio companies through board director/observer roles, including monitoring activities and support in key areas such as talent acquisition, financing, and ESG topics.
- Development and management of internal stakeholder relationships across Siemens Energy business areas and coordination between departments.
- Representation of the company at industry forums and technology‑related events, fostering market presence and networking opportunities.
- Contribution to thought leadership through publication of sector‑focused insights, knowledge sharing, and enhancement of internal tools and methodologies.
What You Bring
- Long‑term demonstrated professional experience (ideally 15+ years) of industry experience in relevant fields such as investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or growth equity, with proven deal track record and board‑level exposure.
- Deep understanding of and passion for sustainable innovation, energy transition, industry 4.0, and broader sustainability, along with excellent investment judgement, diligence skillset (both quantitative and qualitative), and technical acumen including financial modelling skills.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with proactive problem‑solving approach, high performance standards, and ability to manage complex, ambiguous environments with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to engage effectively across corporate and investment stakeholders.
- Strong organisational competence, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under changing requirements.
- Full professional proficiency in English and motivation to contribute to the long‑term development of a leading corporate venture capital platform.
