A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of the Network Management team, the Operational Innovation team focuses on providing Transformer employees opportunities, tools, programs and communities to empower everyone at Grid Technologies Transformers to build a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. During this 12-month internship, you will get the opportunity to actively contribute to our efforts across the world.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Streamline our key operations related to proactive management of employee innovation action tracker
  • Support and project manage entrepreneurship programs
  • Work on innovation community management including marketing, communications and event activities
  • Manage crowd-sourcing deal-flow and idea management activities
  • Digitalize our key operations leveraging scalable digital tools to source deal flow, perform due diligence, monitor & control our portfolio, and build simple visualizations
  • Create and maintain a searchable data management system
  • Create training materials (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, or Videos) with reference examples
  • Contribute to events, communications and marketing activities

What You Bring

  • We are looking for courageous and passionate people ready to apply themselves fully and be entrepreneurial in overcoming obstacles.
  • You are either a recent University graduate or similar in the fields of business/technology, innovation, engineering, design or sustainability and have proven yourself as a hands-on collaborator.
  • You are passionate about innovation, idea management, community building, entrepreneurship and start-ups.
  • You are driven by making a significant, positive socio-economic impact.
  • You are self-motivated about solving climate change and the energy transition.
  • Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously with the guidance of the team lead.
  • Demonstrate an explorer’s mindset with willingness to experiment and learn from failures.
  • Start-up experience, strategic challenge framing, and deal flow management are an asset.
  • Full written and spoken proficiency in English is vital.
