The Grid Technologies Service Engineering department provides essential technical expertise in areas such as Cyber Security, Cloud applications, Operational Technology, Protection, SCADA, Network Infrastructure, Condition Monitoring Services, and 24/7 customer support.
The role involves addressing technical issues, breakdowns, and customer inquiries related to service agreements, as well as implementing functional enhancements for existing sites. Candidates are expected to develop their skills and technical knowledge through coaching and hands-on experience, becoming effective members of the Technical Support team in the Customer Service business area.
How Youβll Make An Impact
- Deliver and maintain IT infrastructure solutions for HVDC, FACTS, and Wind Farm projects.
- Administer operating systems (primarily Windows, some Linux), including installation, configuration, user authentication, and system health monitoring.
- Manage computer systems and virtual environments (Hyper-V & VMware) while performing routine monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Support customers and colleagues using SCADA/server build and configuration knowledge.
- Ensure ongoing implementation of Cyber Security concepts based on international standards for control and protection systems.
- Plan and conduct training courses on SCADA system administration for internal employees and external customers.
What You Bring
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a positive working attitude.
- Proven experience in project delivery in SCADA, Control, Protection, Telecommunications, or Primary disciplines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for technological or electrical issues.
