Join our dynamic team as an Operational Buyer, where you will be at the heart of our Ulverston and Aberdeen manufacturing facilities. Imagine ensuring the timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods and services from a diverse range of suppliers while optimising our complex supply chain. You will collaborate with internal departments and engage with external collaborators to improve supplier performance and contribute to our master production schedule. Your proactive approach and keen attention to detail will empower you to tackle new challenges and drive continuous improvement in our procurement processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Coordinate delivery schedules effectively by liaising with internal departments.
• Analyse demand and consumption patterns to optimise purchasing and ensure timely transactions.
• Raise, issue, and expedite purchase orders within your defined area of responsibility.
• Ensure that all goods and services meet expectations to support the master production schedule.
• Conduct RFI/RFQ processes and negotiate improved terms to generate cost savings across your supplier portfolio.
• Implement strategies that drive flawless supply chain operations and supplier performance improvements.
What You Bring
• You possess strong numerical and analytical skills, enabling you to make data-driven decisions.
• Your ability to negotiate and influence enables you to establish strong connections with collaborators.
